Importing Company Information from SAM into VIPR

If you registered in the vendor application OR you used the "View/Import from SAM" button on the My Company page AFTER the VIPR/SAM interconnection was implemented (January 2014), then some of your company information will be pulled into VIPR from the SAM record that is associated with the vendor UEI.

Using the UEI associated with the SAM record, VIPR will import the following vendor company information from SAM into VIPR:

Once the information in these fields is imported into VIPR from SAM, you will be unable to edit these fields in the vendor application.

If you need to make changes to this information, you will need to make those changes in your SAM record in the SAM Entity Management system, and then use the "View/Import from SAM" button in the VIPR vendor application to import the changes from SAM into VIPR. Remember that it takes SAM several business days to process your changes before those changes will be available to import from SAM into VIPR.

IMPORTANT
Your company name, DBA, company address, and mailing address in VIPR MUST match the information that is in your SAM record AND you MUST have an active SAM record or you will be ineligible to receive an agreement from VIPR and you will be unable to respond to a modification to an agreement.

To import your company name, DBA, company address, and/or mailing address changes from your SAM record into VIPR:

  1. In the vendor application, access the My Company page and click on the View/Import from SAM button. The VIPR/SAM Company Information Comparison dialog appears and highlights differences between the information found in VIPR versus the information found in the SAM record.
  2. Click the Import button to import any changes that you made in your SAM record into VIPR. A confirmation of the import appears.

For changes to other company information in VIPR (i.e. Business Status change, contact information, etc.), you can make those changes in the vendor application.
